INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS

DESCRIPTION

This position collaborates with training staff and subject matter experts, identifies, plans, creates, designs, tests, implements, delivers, supports, and maintains effective, engaging, innovative, and interactive digital learning opportunities and training activities involving existing and emerging digital technology applications (e.g., e-learning, web-based learning, mobile application learning, podcasting, virtual classroom, videos, tutorials, etc.).  You may also be responsible for converting instructor-led training (ILT) to e-learning based content. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree in Information Technology and Five (5) years of experience with development and design of digital learning applications for corporate training. At least Two (2) years of experience utilizing adult learning principles facilitating classroom training. Relevant experience may substitute for education.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited post-secondary institution in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology, Education Technology, Organizational Development, Adult Education or related subject and Two (2) years of experience providing instructional design and development of digital learning applications, One (1) year of experience conducting webinars and online demonstrations, and One (1) year of experience facilitating adult classroom training

FACILITATION EXPERTS

The facilitator is responsible for facilitating various training programs to GDC audiences. Additionally this role will assist in analyzing, designing, developing, and monitoring learning programs and projects to meet stakeholder and business needs.

To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced facilitator who is comfortable presenting to small and large audiences. You will serve as an ambassador representing GDC. You will project professionalism and have the ability to influence audiences, in many instances, without authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate traditional classroom, virtual and one-on-one training to various internal audiences.
  • Confirm training programs meet expected business outcomes.
  • Assist in the design, development and maintenance of training materials.
  • Lead, manage and motivate training audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
